Miroku Renge

Miroku Renge (弥勒 蓮華, Miroku Renge^?) is the ancestor of Miroku Yumiko and is an important character in Akamine Yuuna's story. Little is known about her, only that she was alive during the Vertex Terrorist attacks.

Background

Renge was alive during Akamine Yuuna's time, and her actions seemed to be enough to give the Miroku Family good standing within the Taisha. It is unclear why the name was forgotten later on, or if Renge had anything to do with it.

Appearance

Renge is a young girl with turquoise eyes and long, messy black hair. Adorning her is a white beret and a hair clip with a lily on it. She wears a prominently black dress extending to her knees with a white bust, and a black jacket. She has white stockings and black shoes.

In her Hero uniform, her hair grows longer and gains blue shading. She wears it in an assymatrical ponytail fastened by a flower. She wears a white uniform with blue and gold accents. Her sleeves resemble open flowers, and she has gold wristbands that stick out on her arms with light blue stripes on her black under-suit. The under-suit also covers her chest wears the uniform fails to. White tassels decorate her self.

Personality

Renge is extremely full of herself, referring to herself by her last name in third-person, and even preparing autographed photos of herself for her meeting with Akamine. She's also competitive, as shown when she tried breakdancing with Akamine in public.

Plot

Renge aided the Taisha during the Vertex Terrorist attacks, alongside Akamine Yuuna as "signal arrows". She was granted the powers of a Hero by the Shinju, guided by Kiryuu Shizuka.

Abilities

Her signature weapon is a metallic/white/gold futuristic saber-like with four laser bolts around a circle that forms into one big blade.

• Her grave resides in the Monument to the Fallen Legends.
• Many fans, possibly due to the English pronunciation of her name, have nicknamed her Wrench or Wrenchie. This joke has made it into the game, with Akamine nicknaming her "Renchi", and Renge complaining that it sounded like a tool.
• Renge is a rather good cook.

Flower Motif

Renge is associated with the Casablanca, which is said to represent magnificent love and dignity, as well as nobility. It is known as the queen of lily. Casablance lilies also mean celebration, used for weddings.
