Series 4 「第４期シリーズ」 of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game coincides with the end of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime in Japan, as well as the start of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. It is also the first series whose set releases converge with those of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, as well as the Korean and Asian-English releases in the OCG.
