Rachel "Rae" Hofstetter (born: January 8, 1992), better known online as Valkyrae, is an American YouTuber, live streamer, and former Twitch streamer from Washington, United States. She is known for being a professional Fortnite and Among Us player. She is a co-owner of the gaming organization 100 Thieves and has been the most-watched female streamer on YouTube since 2020.

She created her YouTube channel back in 2014, but didn't start uploading videos until 2018. She has also collaborated with other Fortnite streamers such as Cizzorz, Daequan Loco, Myth and Pokimane.
In March 2023, Valkyrae co-hosted The Streamer Awards alongside QTCinderella.

Rachel "Rae" Hofstetter was born on January 8, 1992 and raised in Washington, United States working at a GameStop. She moved to Los Angeles. Rae is of German, Filipino, Spaniard and Swiss descent.[1]
Controversy
RFLCT
On October 19, 2021, RFLCT, Valkyrae’s skincare collection, was announced. It was marketed as “the skincare collection for everyone who uses a screen.” The advert claimed that the product was “designed to protect your skin against blue light,” and that blue light can damage skin. It describes ingredients such as BLPF (Blue Light Prevention Factor), and RE3 (a blend of rice extracts). Many responses to the video described it as a scam, and criticised the quality of the website’s sources, which include WebMD.[2] Some users also pointed out the existence of blue light filters on devices.[3] The video received responses from creators such as Professor Stick,[4] Dr Dray,[5] and Sykkuno amongst others.[6][7]
