Sharky

Sharmarke Mohamud^{[citation needed]} (born: December 31, 1995 (1995-12-31) [age 29])^[1] better known online as Sharky (also known as Sharkmarke and Afc Sharky), is a Dutch-born^{[citation needed]} English-Somali^{[citation needed]} YouTube gamer, entertainer, and social media personality. He has garnered massive popularity for his soccer-related vlog entries and FIFA gameplay videos which he shares on his YouTube channel. He is a member of the the group Beta Squad.^[2]

About

Sharky was born in Utrecht, Netherlands in 1995 to a Somali family. He is a first born child alongside six siblings including a brother called Shuceeb who has been featured on his channel a few times. He is an Arsenal fan. He has been on Sky Sports talking about Arsenal after matches.^[3]

YouTube Career

Sharky set up his YouTube channel under the username ‘afcSharky’ on August 17, 2015 and began posting videos a couple of weeks later. He deleted the first three letters to rename the channel ‘Sharky.’ He has gained massive popularity for his soccer-related vlog entries and FIFA gameplay videos which he shares on his YouTube channel. He also posts challenge videos and pranks. He uploaded his first video on August 31, 2015 titled "Forfeit FIFA #1 - Chilli FIFA vs Haseeb!".^[4] His first non-FIFA video was ‘The Worlds Worst Haircut?!!!’,^[5] posted on November 16, 2015. Sharky would expanded the content of his videos and started making vlogs, challenges and pranks videos. Some of his frequent collaborators are Niko Omilana, Aj Shabeel, and Chunkz.  ^{[citation needed]}

On July 21 2020, Sharky released his first video on SDS (Sharky Does Sports), a podcast channel where he mainly talks about football along with his friends, Ilyas, Liban, Faysal, Starplayer, Shaun, Haseeb, Lyés, Busquets, Fuizzy, Kunal, Rozaylo and Fuad. Sharky frequently has football fan guests on the channel. ^{[citation needed]}

On October 2022, SDS FC was formed, a Five-a-side football team made up of players from the SDS podcast. They won their first match 19-3.^[6] They later on lost their following match 9-13^[7] but won their third and last match, 7-3 with their opponents being 2nd in the league.^[8]

On November 2022, Sharky and his cousin Ayvee who were both interested in fashion, created a clothing brand named 'Primo Family Club' which proved to be a success as they had hundreds of pre-orders.^[9]

In June 2024, Sharky played in a football charity match hosted by Beta Squad and AMP at Selhurst Park, London, England, where he played for team Beta Squad. The event raised money for The Water Project.^[10]

In November 2024, it was announced that Sharky would manage one of the 12 teams in the upcoming Baller League UK, a six-a-side football competition set to be broadcast on Sky Sports.^[11] In March 2025, it was revealed that Sharky would manage a team named SDS.^[11] The team won its first match on March 24, 2025, defeating 26ers 5-2.^[12]
