Edward Matthews (born: 2002 [age 22–23])^{[citation needed]} better known online as Ed Matthews, is an English^{[citation needed]} TikToker, YouTuber and boxer. His content varies from calling out and criticizing other content creators, to challenge videos with his friends and collaborators.^[1]

Ed Matthews vs. Swarmz

On October 12, 2023, it was announced that Matthews will replace English YouTuber Ryan Taylor to face English rapper Swarmz on the preliminary card of the MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on October 14, 2023.^[3] On the night of the fight, Matthews defeated Swarmz via 1st round knockout, just thirty seconds into the round with Swarmz apply suffered an ankle injury as he went down and made no attempt to beat the count.^[4]

Ed Matthews vs. Luis Alcaraz Pineda

On an Instagram Live, English Kick streamer HSTikkyTokky hinted that Matthews could be fighting on MF & DAZN: X Series 12 and Matthews said he's training for a fight.^[5] On January 10, 2024, Misfits Boxing announced on Twitter that Matthews would headline MF & DAZN: X Series 12 against a mystery opponent on January 20, 2024 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England.^[6] On January 12, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) scheduled a disciplinary hearing for Matthews for January 18.^[7] On the night of the fight, Matthews was in the ring when Ginty who walked to the ring, then it was Swarmz and then it was BDave... but it was Luis Alcaraz Pineda who ended up being the mystery opponent. Matthews was defeated by Pineda via 2nd round knockout that send Matthews out of the ring.^[8]

Ed Matthews vs. Ben Williams

Matthews and Ben Williams got into a fight backstage of MF & DAZN: X Series 11, when Matthews made a beeline for Williams and appears to throw a punch before the pair start wrestling each other to the floor.^[9] After his bout with Fes Batista, Williams called out Matthews to a boxing match in Dublin, Ireland.^[10]

Ed Matthews vs. Simple Simon

During a TikTok live, Matthews called out TikTok star Astrid Wett and accused her of using Cal the Dragon's internet clout to further her own career. Astrid denies this, and says they're just mates and she doesn't need Cal's help to be big online. Matthews was confronted on a TikTok live by Simon, who told Matthews that "He would do anything for Cal".

During a TikTok live, both Matthews and Simon agree to box each other. On May 22 2022, it was announced that Matthews will box Simon in the main event of KingPyn Boxing first event which will take place on July 16 at the Indigo at the O2 London.^[11] Things got heated when Matthews mentioned Simon's daughter and ex-wife during the build up to the fight. On the night of the fight, Matthews defeated Simon via 1st round knockout with just 48 seconds into their boxing match.^[12] Matthews and Simon since buried the hatchet. Matthews then proceeded to call out TikTok star Bryce Hall and YouTuber AnEsonGib.^[13]

Ed Matthews vs. Blueface

On March 30 2023, Matthews called out American rapper Blueface to a boxing match.^[14] On April 7, Matthews reveals that he is scheduled to fight Blueface on April 22.^[15] On April 9, it was officially announced that Matthews will fight Blueface on the preliminary card for the High Stakes Tournament on April 22, 2023 at Wembley Arena in London, England.^[16] On the night of the event, Matthews was defeated by Blueface via technical knockout in the 4th round.^[17]

Steroids Allegations

In 2023, Matthews was accused of taken steroids, due to the allegations he was unable to compete in the Kingpyn Boxing High Stakes Tournament.^[18] During the Kingpyn Boxing press conference, Matthews calms he has took steroids 2 years ago and he is natty now.^[19]
