demenishki (born October 28, 1999 (1999-10-28) [age 25])^[3], also known as deme, is an independent Filipino^{[citation needed]} VTuber and Twitch streamer.

Content

Deme started as a Valorant player on her first channel, uploading comedic videos of her playing with other people. Much of her appeal would be in her unpredictable behavior and vulgar humor.

Eventually, as of 2022, she is a VTuber taking on the persona of an anthropomorphic red panda who primarily streams on Twitch. While she is primarily a gaming creator, she spends most of her time during these streams reacting to a variety of videos, looking at her social media accounts, or researching on Google. She also plays Bingo with her viewers, alternating between conventions in her Instagram reels and formulas within episodes of the Gordon Ramsay reality show, Kitchen Nightmares, and watches movies.

Personal Life

Deme lives by herself but occasionally meets with the rest of her family.^{[citation needed]} Her filming setup is very minimal, usually having one bed positioned on the floor directly next to her computer.^[4] She is frequently sick and has to take medication near-daily, even during streams, alongside some hospital admissions.^[5][6]

She primarily lives in her house and resides in the Philippines.^{[citation needed]} Though she usually stays inside, she visited two other countries: Japan, and the United Kingdom. She particularly disliked her experience in the UK.^[7]

In-Jokes

Deme refuses to buy a bedframe for her setup, which she has been frequently joked about, including from Rainhoe.^[8] Her status as an unemployed, short-tempered gamer who streams has her viewers compare her to Gye Baek-soon, the titular character of the manga of the same name.^[9]

Her viewers also joke about her age, sarcastically claiming that she's "elderly" because she was born in the 1990s.^[10]

Trivia

• All of Deme's channels state her location as the United States. This is despite her repeatedly saying to her viewers that she isn't American in any way and is completely Filipino, residing in the country and rarely ever leaving it, meaning her channels most likely use the location of her editor rather than Deme herself.^{[citation needed]}
