Ava Kris Tyson^[1] (born July 1, 1996 (1996-07-01) [age 28]),^[3] previously known online as Chris02 or Tysonboy34 _ and also known by her Minecraft username, Chris_thememegod,^[4] is an American^[5] YouTube personality who was known for featuring in MrBeast's videos. Tysonboy34_ is her old YouTube channel.^[6]

Kris used to upload gaming of various games, such as GTA, Minecraft, COD, Stranded Deep and other games.^{[7][8][9][10]} She once uploaded a vlog in the school cafeteria, where she mention visiting Jimmy's house later that day. She also once made a guitar tutorial on What I Got by Sublime.^[11] Most of her videos have comments by Jimmy.^[12][13] She used to upload gaming videos frequently and her most viewed video was a vlog at school.^[14]

History

Kris started her channel around the time she met Jimmy, who had his own channel. They met at school and became good friends, with both of them commenting frequently on each other's videos.^[15]

At some point, Kris stopped uploading for unknown reasons, presumably out of boredom, and began to work with Jimmy on his channel more often, making frequent appearances and helping with the ideas.^[16]

When Jimmy started to blow up in popularity, she started to appear more in the challenges and philanthropy videos, often making funny jokes as well as giving away money alongside the other members.^[17]

Personal life

She used to be married to Katie Farquhar Tyson.^[19][20] Kris and Katie have a son named Tucker Tyson (born: June 18, 2020 (2020-06-18) [age 4]).^[21]

Kris is bisexual and a transgender woman, and uses she/her pronouns according to her Twitter and Snapchat bio.^[1][2]

Kris Tyson changed her name and announced on an interview with Anthony Padilla and Twitter that the old identity of Chris Tyson was dead and gone.^[22][1][23]

Controversies

Tweets

In 2017, Kris made tweets where she disrespected Islam and claimed that it treated women badly. She also mocked transgender people and stated that she identified as an attack helicopter.^[24][25][26] However, in early 2023, Kris came out as transgender, made tweets about her journey with HRT, denounced transphobia, and stated that gender-affirming care for transgender people should be available.^[27][28] She officially announced her new name, Kris, on both Twitter and YouTube.^[23]

Shädman Files

Kris Tyson would face renewed controversy after an incident was uncovered during a period of heavy scrutinization by the public due to her transition. It would be revealed that the she acquired and took pictures of artwork produced by online artist Shädman.^[29] The pictures of the artwork shared by Kris Tyson featured a young female with a missing tooth, braces, and a cap, as well as a gun in her mouth. Plastered on the young female body included a "Queen of Spades" tattoo, commonly worn as part of BNWO "Black New World Order" sexual roleplay, which primarily revolves around a hypersexualized form of black supremacy and an obsession with "bbc", referring to "big black cocks".^[30][31][32]

It was claimed that the image was likely lolicon.^[29] Shädman had gained notoriety in the art community for drawing sexual material of real world children as well as lolicon hentai.^[33] He had faced overwhelmingly negative feedback in the past for promising to draw sexual art of Keemstar's then 7 year-old daughter, as well as sexual art of an 11 year-old girl, resulting in Keemstar making several videos publicly accusing him of pedophilia. The artwork faced widespread condemnation and was later removed by Shädman after a confrontation with online creator ColossalisCrazy.^[34] Kris Tyson was seemingly aware of this.^[35]

Response

On July 23, 2024, Kris made a series of tweets talking about the allegations, saying that that she has departed the MrBeast crew to focus on her family and mental health, along with saying that she had not groomed anyone, and apologizing for her past actions.^[36]

A day later, MrBeast made a post on Twitter, saying that he is looking for an independent third-party to conduct an investigation into Kris's behavior, along with removing her from the MrBeast brand.^[37]

On November 1, 2024 the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan concluded that the allegations found that all of them were "baseless" after conducting "39 interviews of current and former employees" and reviewing "over 4.5 million documents from mobile phones, emails, Telegrams, Discords, WhatsApps and Slack."^[38][39] The law firm reported that: "The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims."^[40] These alleged "victims" have commented on the allegations as "massive lies,"^[41] with one saying "People used my name to make very serious allegations and claims without ever speaking to me."^[42]

• Her YouTube profile picture is a photo cropped from the thumbnail of SunnyV2's video "Why Chris Will Soon Be A Nightmare For MrBeast" (later changed to "How Will The Chris Tyson Situation Impact MrBeast?"), which became controversial due to SunnyV2 implying his resentment towards Kris's transition.
