Michael Evans (born: May 14, 2000YouTuber best known for his comedic associations with the single-player puzzle game Bookworm Adventures Deluxe. His main style of content consists of various video game highlights taken from his livestreams on Twitch.
), better known online as Beef Stew, is an AmericanHis channel was created in September of 2015, having uploaded and privated multiple videos since then, though Michael's popularity increased substantially during his time on the popular private Minecraft server, SMPLive, invited by the server creator and his own friend, CallMeCarson.
History and content
Though most of his older videos have long since been privatised, Beef Stew's channel has been uploading since 2015, when he was about 15 years old. During his time as a smaller creator, Beef had found many relations to other big-name YouTubers, the most well known being his frequent attempts to bring YouTuber videogamedunkey to play Bookworm Adventures Deluxe. At some point during their interactions, Dunkey uploads a video showing himself receiving the game in the mail, and then proceeding to chuck it in the trash.
In response to this, Beef uploads a video of himself crafting a flamethrower in his own yard, before burning a picture of Dunkey's mascot into ashes. This longterm gag would later become Beef's staple for his channel's uprising, inspiring his Twitch emotes to be designed with an outfit similar to the game's mascot.
Today, Beef's YouTube content primarily sticks to gaming videos, however, he does deviate from this on occasion. For example, Beef has made a video detailing the merch designs he had commissioned for to show off to everyone, and another video is a loose rant about his "conspiracy theory" for a Minecraft parody music video.
SMPlive
Founded by CallMeCarson on March 1st, 2019, this large Minecraft server consisted of 100+ content creators of various content styles, one of which was Beef Stew, having joined on the 5th of the same month. During his time on the server, his most notable gags involved creating various structures almost solely out of a single in-game material, melons, which he mass-produced at such a high quantity that it was considered the number one largest melon supply on the entire server. Some notable examples of his melon-esque creations include:
- "Carson's Mom," a 185-meter tall skyscraper located within the server's main city, with various floors rented out by other members
- A large recreation of the Death Star from Star Wars, located in the End dimension of the server
- Performing various pranks on other people utilizing the melons, such as spelling out words in the sky with them
Aside from his use of melons on the server, Beef Stew was also brought into light by his performance in the server's organized talent show, in which he recreated the American Dad theme song with a large didgeridoo instrument. This instrument occasionally appears on his livestreams on Twitch. In addition to these gags, Beef Stew has involved himself in a group on the server titled "Team Chunk Error," with some notable members such as Pokay, AntVenom, DinksterDaily, and more.
Twitch streams
Beef Stew's primary platform is Twitch, where he is a partnered streamer, and where he streams semi-regularly throughout the month, bouncing between video game playthroughs such as Minecraft, or to the occasional Mediashare streams in which he chats casually with his viewers. Whenever Beef gains a new subscriber on Twitch, his signature response is to ring his iconic gong once or twice for each person.
