Website

In late 2022, Astrid created her website insect.christmas. This incarnation wasn't very fleshed out, only having a few buttons and lacking her signature style. By March of the next year, the site was more fleshed out, including more images and easier access to her related projects. About a year after the site's launch, it became more indicative of her style, including many bugs and large links on ants to its various sub-areas. In February of 2024, she decided to completely rehaul the entire site, ditching the previous website builder she was using and instead coding it from scratch, in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Eventually she added a navigation bar, first putting it on the right but eventually switching it to the right side, providing a design that fits the space. This latter design was the first appearance of the mascot of the site, Izzy the bug, as well as featuring music. She eventually switched to a cleaner table design, custom navigation icons, a random picture of her cats, Kiwi and Koko, and a text butterfly that follows your mouse cursor.

Personal Life

Astrid identifies as a woman.[6] On June 1st, 2024, she said that her pronouns are "she/her," and on her website insect.christmas she notes the same.[6][7] She is 5'11" (181 cm) tall.[8]
