Jeffery

Jeffery (stylized in all caps and originally titled No, My Name is Jeffery) is the fourth commercial mixtape by Young Thug. It was released by 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records on August 26, 2016. The mixtape features guest appearances from Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, Gunna, Quavo, Offset, and Wyclef Jean. It also features production from TM88, Wheezy, and Young Thug himself (credited as his first name Jeffery).

Jeffery charted at number eight on the US Billboard 200, with 37,000 album-equivalent units and sold 18,000 copies in its first week.

Description

Thugga's agility and anguish come together in a high-impact performance for the ages. He's always been lithe, but witness the rapper's snakelike vocals slide through "Wyclef Jean" and "Swizz Beats," both built on the subliminal rumbles of dub and dancehall. While he digs into "Future Swag" with wolfish gusto, his fractured croon finds home in the sore-hearted hedonism of "Riri." – Apple Music

Artwork

The project artwork features Young Thug in an androgynous dress designed by Italian designer Alessandro Trincone, and was photographed by Garfield Lamond. The artwork went viral and prompted a wide range of responses on social media.
