Whinona (Japanese: こんがらギャル Kongaragyaru) is a Rank A, Lightning-attribute Yo-kai of the Slippery tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

Whinona evolves from Snaggly starting at level 29.

In Yo-kai Watch Blasters, she is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Poofessor.

Whinona has blue eyes, yellow fur covering most of her body, and three pink curls of hair at the hairline. Her brown skin and pink lips resemble the style of makeup popularized by the Ganguro fashion trend. She wears geta with thick green soles and pink straps.

Etymology

  • Kongaragal is a portmanteau of kongaragaru (こんがらがる), meaning to become entangled, and gal (ギャル, gyaru), referring to Japan's fashion-conscious female teenager subculture.
  • Her English name is a portmanteau of Whine (a high pitched cry) and the female name Winona.
  • "Agorerana" combines "Agonía" (Agony) , "Enredadera" (Vine) and "Morena" (Brunette).
