In the manga Etymology "Kizunameko" could be a combination of kizuname (傷舐め, "licking wounds"), kizuna (絆, "bond") and nameko (ナメコ, "butterscotch mushroom").
"Tongus" is a portmanteau of tongue and fungus .
"Curaling" is a portmanteau of Cura (heal) and Lingua (tongue).
"Zungus" is a portmanteau of Zunge (tongue) and Fungus .
