Cole and the Oni King Fragment (Japanese: トウマと鬼王のかけら Tōma to Oniō no Kakera) is the 22nd episode of the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside anime. It was broadcasted in Japan on August 31, 2018.
Summary
Cole suddenly collapses and loses consciousness. Summer and the others rush to the hospital, and see the evil aura that is emitting from Cole's body, they conclude that it is no ordinary disease, but another strange case. As they take a picture of Cole with Mitsue's “Yo-kai Energy X-ray” and perform an exorcism ritual, of all things, the Onimaro "Mogu" emerges from Cole. It seems that Mogu has been fighting an “enemy” inside of Cole's body, alongside Ogu and Togu. Adding to that, he says that if they don’t defeat this enemy, Cole won’t recover. Summer and Bruno enter Cole's body to defeat the enemy. What is the identity of the one who threatens Cole's body?

- This is Whisper's second absence in the Shadowside series.
- This is Sly's second absence in the Shadowside series.
- This is Isabelle's first absence since her debut.
- This is Ogu, Togu, and Mogu's first appearance in the Shadowside series.
- Remnants of Oniou Rasen remained in Cole's body since the battle. Ogu, Togu, & Mogu had been suppressing it until it was destroyed for good at the end of the episode.
- This episode is homage to the book and movie Fantastic Voyage, excluding the submarine.
