Yo-kai Caricature Press Conference (Japanese: 発表！妖怪似顔絵記者会見,Happyō! Yōkai Nigaoe Kisha Kaiken), Yo-kai Switch! (Japanese: 妖怪スイッチ！,Yōkai Suitchi!) and Yo-kai Theater: Cinderella (Japanese: 妖怪劇場～シンデレラ～,Yōkai Gekijō ~ Shinderera ~) is the 4th episode of the Yo-kai Watch♪ anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on April 30, 2021.
One day, Nate who knows that his too average everyday video is playing insanely on the video distribution site "Yo-Tube". Without his own knowing, Jibanyan filmed the video without permission, and it seems to have been spread by the Yo-kai "Mr. Blockhead". However, this is in a sense good development! Whisper and Jibanyan, who wanted to make a profit from advertising revenue for the video, said Nate, and continued to deliver Nate challenge videos with the help of various Yo-kai.
Komasan's 1 Million Yen Life
One day, a letter arrives from Koma Kaachan to Komasan and Komajiro. There was a lucky ticket in it, along with the appearance of Koma Kaachan, who has a terrible stiff shoulder recently. Immediately he went to the shopping district to do Fukubiki, and when Komasan turned around Fukubiki...What a special prize of 1 million yen! After returning home and thinking about how to spend 1 million yen, Komasan, who can't think of anything at all, sees a dog Yo-kai who says he's a long-lost brother.
This is the first episode in the Yo-kai Watch anime series to have a new writer credited as Takahiro Nagano, if the team from Y School Heroes isn't counted.
The pose of Jibanyan a reading Next HarMEOWny magazine at the beginning resembles one of the loading screen graphics from Yo-kai Watch 2.
This episode inexplicably shows how regular human beings are able to get to the Yo-kai World, that being of the same police officers that regularly arrest Manjimutt.
The title of the last segment in the listings was incorrectly spelt as "Cinderezura" (シンデズラ) rather than "Cinderella" (シンデレラ). It was unknown if Komasan was planned to appear in the segment or was a typo.
Manjimutt disguising himself as a komainu with a hitodama headband is a reference to EP171 of the original series.
Errors
Just before Nate finds out that he is popular on the internet, Nate's hands are too small.
When Komasan imagines himself sleeping with an ice cream cone, the hitodama tail has a red swirl instead of blue.
In the official YouTube upload of the episode, Komasan's red swirls on his cheeks and hips are missing in the fantasy sequence of him next to an ice cream cone.
When Komasan almost catches Manjimutt trying to steal the money after getting tea, the hitodama flame headband is too big.
While Manjimutt tries to cover up his act of stealing the cash, his paw pads are missing until the next shot.
