Komane (Japanese: ししコマ Shishikoma) is a Rank A, Fire-attribute Rare Yo-kai of the Charming tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch. Prior to Yo-kai Watch 2, he was a Regular Yo-kai.

Komane is also one of the 13 White Yo-kai who follows McKraken's ideals.

Komasan evolves into Komane at level 35YW or 25YW2. As of Yo-kai Watch Blasters, he instead evolves from Komasan when fused with a Swirly Soul.

In Yo-kai Watch, Yo-kai Watch 3, Yo-kai Watch Blasters, and Yo-kai Watch Busters 2, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura.

Komane is a dull-white, lion-like Yo-kai with big lime-green eyes and red markings encircling them. He has red stripes for whiskers as well as stripes below the shoulder, and on each hip. His inner-ear and stomach are blue, while at the center of his head is a blue flame ponytail with a bigger tail matching it. Around his wrists, eyebrows, and feet are the same markings. The pouch he wore beforehand was swapped with a short cape.

His White Yo-kai counterpart has the same appearance but with a combination of white, grey and black colors instead his regular ones.

This Yo-kai belongs to the Komainu family of Yo-kai alongside Komasan, Komajiro, Komiger, and Hardy Hound.

Evolve Komasan at level 35.

Alternatively, Komane can be found at the Entry Hall in the Yo-kai World. The white Komane can be found in the same place but this version is not befriendable.

Yo-kai Watch 2

Unlike the first game, the only way to get Komane is to evolve from Komasan. Komasan will now evolve into Komane once he reaches level 25, 10 levels earlier than in the first game.

Yo-kai Watch 3

Like in Yo-kai Watch Blasters, Komasan will evolve into Komane when fused with a Swirly Soul.

He can also be found in Blasters T in Enma Palace ①.

Yo-kai Watch Blasters

Unlike the first two games in the main series, Komasan will now evolve into Komane when fused with a Swirly Soul.

Alternatively, Komane can be freed from Crank-a-kai using a Strength Coin.

In the Chapter 10 sub-quest, Squiddilius McKraken, exclusive to White Dog Squad, the white Komane appears to deal the Blasters team.

Etymology

  • "Shishikoma" is a combination of shishi (獅子, "lion") and komainu. His English name, "Komane", is a combination of komainu and mane.
  • "Komähne" is similar to his English name, as is a combination of komainu and mähne (mane).
  • "Komaleón" is a combination of "komainu" and "León" (lion).
  • "Crinikoma" is a combination of "criniera" (mane) and "koma."
