Frazzel (Japanese: ヒライ神 Hiraishin) is a Rank A Lightning-attribute Yo-kai of the Tough tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

He evolves from Zappary at level 29YW2 or level 34YW3.

In Yo-kai Watch 2, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura. In Yo-kai Watch Blasters, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Dandoodle.

Frazzel is a fair-skinned humanoid Yo-kai with blonde hair which is tied up into a high bun, and he wears a golden circlet. His eyes are dull light blue. His ears have long lopes and has turquoise earrings adorned on them. Hirashin wears a golden choker and golden braces on his arms and legs. He also wears red baggy pants with a golden belt and a white hagoromo going over his shoulders and through his belt. He possesses a silverish grey spear which has a big spearhead and a smaller spearhead.

In the anime, Papa Bolt and Mama Aura are his parents. He might also be the nephew of Uncle Infinite and Auntie Heart.

In a quest in Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, it is revealed that Zappary is his son.

Frazzel the power to attract lightning, typically using his spear as a lightning rod. His Inspirits cause people to act in a provokingly jolly manner to activate Papa Bolt's lightning rage.

Frazzel firstly appears at EP086 with his parents, Papa Bolt and Mama Aura

Frazzel makes a cameo appearance in EP110 with his parents Papa Bolt and Mama Aura wearing a high school Japan outfit.

He appears at EP198 on the Fleshy Souls side where Toadal Dude and Arachnus argue about Boxers vs Briefs, The Fleshy Souls members wear boxers and Frazzel is wearing Red boxers with diamond shape patterns.

Frazzel appears EP203 Toadal Dude and Arachnus are arguing but this time is Straight straw vs Bend straw.

Etymology

  • "Hiraishin" translates as "flying thunder god" (Japanese: 飛雷神), and is a pun on "lightning rod" (Japanese: 避雷針 Hiraishin).
  • "Frazzel" combines frizzle and the name Faisal. Due to his tendency to irritate Papa Bolt, it's also based on the word "frazzle," as in wearing down Papa Bolt's nerves.
  • "Cazarrayos" is derived of "Lighning rod. Due to text limitations, in the games it is writen as "Cazarayos."
  • "Equilanciere" is a combination of "equilibrio" (equilibrium) and "lanciere" (lancer).
