My First Errand (はじめてのおつかい, Hajimete no Otsukai) is the 34th side case in Lost Judgment.
Plot
Ikuo Manaka asks Yagami to meet him at Wette Kitchen. He explains that his son Toru wants to go out on his own now that he is 5 years old, but he does not want his parents to follow him, so Manaka requests Yagami tail Toru to keep him safe. Toru will head down Isezaki Road to buy some bread at Pocket Café before returning.
When Yagami is ready, Manaka calls his wife to let Toru leave and returns so Toru knows he is not following him. Kaito, who went to eat there, overheard the conversation and asks to join Yagami out of a desire to see a child grow up. When Toru crosses the road and steps onto Isezaki Road, the detectives begin tailing him as he stumbles around to find the café.
Toru turns around, causing Yagami and Kaito to scramble for cover. They end up with their heads stuck in a two-person photo cutout board, and elect to move it around with them to follow Toru. The two must follow him while putting the board down and standing still if the turns around to face them. Eventually, Toru is able to find the café and buys bread.
After leaving, Toru bumps into an unruly man. He and his compartiot try to take his bread, but Yagami and Kaito come to the rescue by shuffling to stand right behind the boy. They can either Give them a dead-eyed stare, Give them an enlightened smile, or Give them a demonic grimace. The two punks are scared away by the detectives and their board, allowing Toru to return safely.
The detective duo returns to the office in hopes of getting free, but are unable to fit in the elevator, and they cannot reach their phones. Sugiura sees them, but the sight is too bewildering to process, and he chooses to get to his ice cream before it melts, but they call out to him and ask for help. He brings some soap from the office and the two are finally free. While Kaito goes to return the board, Manaka calls Yagami to thank him and ask if he had seen the "animated sign" on Isezaki Road that Toru told him about, which he denies any knowledge of.

Details
Ikuo Manaka-san is worried about his son, Toru-kun, taking his first steps out into the world by himself, aware that all sorts of things could happen. He asked me to watch over his kid without getting spotted.
I never though I'd have to work a case physically attached to Kaito-san... but we still pulled if off, somehow. I suppose that sort of thing doesn't happen too often—still, never getting in a photo stand with Kaito-san again.
