Turters is a supporting character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He is the beloved pet and mascot of Zeke and Pandoria. He is a turtle-like animal with a light green tail, emerald shell with dark green spots, and short, stubby legs.
Appearances
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Turters appears multiple times throughout Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He first appears when the party meets Zeke and Pandoria, wandering off and being picked up by Pyra, before Zeke quickly takes him back. Turters appears again on top of Zeke's head after Zeke falls off Ysheva Harbor and into the Cloud Sea. Zeke brings Turters out after Genbu emerges from the Cloud Sea, and Nia remarks that Genbu is like a bigger version of Turters. He appears for a final time during the ending, appearing on Zeke's shoulder after Rex reawakens Pyra and Mythra.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, Turters appears in a flashback during Shulk and Rex's story about the history of their original worlds, the Bionis and Alrest, and how each world had their own hardships before eventually finding peace. During their story, Turters can be seen on Zeke's shoulder in the flashback of Pyra and Mythra returning to the party during the ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Trivia
- Zeke carries Turters to remind him of Genbu, his home Titan.
- Zeke and Pandoria inform Nia during the Heart-to-Heart "Tending to Turters" that they are unsure if he will grow to massive proportions or not, implying they may not know his species growth.
- Turters appears to be carried by Zeke at all times, but since they joined Rex's group, he started sneaking into Nia's bed when at an inn. This is implied to be a consequence of Pandoria's negligence in remembering to feed Turters.
- In the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reveal trailer for Pyra and Mythra, Turters is referenced in the scene where a Squirtle walks up to Pyra.
