Milton

Milton (Japanese: ミルト, Miruto) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. He is a young Gormotti who follows Addam. He joins the party as a non-playable character shortly after Jin and Lora meet Addam and Mythra along with Mikhail and Haze. He is designed by Masatsugu Saito, the lead character designer of the game.

Story

Milton's village was short on resources during a time of war. They over-mined a nearby mountain, which eventually caused a massive flood that devastated his village. Addam was one of the few that helped the village following the flood, leading Milton to join Addam on his travels. He disapproves of Mythra's repeated use of Siren's power and constantly jests with her. He had been traveling with Addam for three years prior to the events of the Aegis War. After Addam joins up with Lora, Mikhail and Milton become good friends.

Though he accompanied Addam through most of his travels, Addam and Mythra convince Milton and Mikhail to stay behind in Auresco as the others journey to the Tornan Titan's core to stop Malos for their own safety. After Malos attacks the city with his Siren, Mythra anguishes at the idea of Milton dying and unleashes a portion of Pneuma's power. Mikhail is later seen on an Ardainian warship carrying Milton's dead body. Upon seeing him dead, Mythra transforms into Pyra out of anguish.

NPC

Milton is an NPC in Torna ~ The Golden Country. He can be found at Spefan Inn in Auresco of the Kingdom of Torna when not traveling with the party.

Milton gives the quest A Small Promise, and his Community is gained alongside Mikhail's upon its completion.

• Milton's English voice actor, Gerran Howell, also voices Joran in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
