Colony 5

Spoiler alert

The future doesn't belong to you!

For those who have not completed games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, this page contains spoilers regarding the plot. Discretion is advised.

Colony 5 is a Kevesi Colony in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Future Redeemed.

Overview

Colony 5 is located at Loska Plateau on the Urayan Trail. It was the first colony in around forty years to reach gold rank, according to Bolearis. The colony's commander was Orsolya. It is a key location during Side Story: Eunie. Unlike other Colonies, the party cannot raise Affinity with it and there are no NPCs as it was destroyed by Moebius.

In Future Redeemed, the Colony 5 Wreckage can be found at Vermilion Woods. Its Consul is Q.

Story

In Future Redeemed, an older incarnation of Colony 5 fights against Colony Gamma in Vermilion Woods, resulting in the destruction of Colony 5's Ferronis, with Nikol being the colony's sole survivor.

By the time of the base game, Colony 5 was a Keves Colony that was raised to Gold Rank at some time during the events of the main story. Its commander was Orsolya, who was Ethel's good friend and rival. Instead of being rewarded, however, it was destroyed by Moebius L and X. Two soldiers in Colony Lambda will mention how they had plans for a campaign against Colony 5 before they were freed by the Ouroboros.

During Side Story: Eunie, while discussing Fortune Clovers in the City, the party receives a call from Bolearis. He explains that he is worried that no-one has heard from Colony 5 since it became Gold Rank and asks them to investigate. Eunie is especially enthused as she remembers in a past life her Colony was Gold Rank and was destroyed by D. Upon arriving in the caves leading to the Colony, they encounter four survivors who mention a monster has attacked and killed many of their friends. After escorting the survivors outside, the party returns to encounter L, who has just killed Orsolya. X appears and explains that Moebius has always massacred the inhabitants of any Colony that becomes Gold Rank, much to Eunie's horror. After L is defeated, X goads the party and escapes.

Interestingly, though the party leaves the Colony after this cutscene, returning shows that they did indeed destroy the Ferronis's Flame Clock after the battle, freeing its only four survivors.
