Marc Whitten is the former chief product officer and head of Xbox. He joined the team in 2000 and helped to deliver the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, as well as build Xbox Live.
On March 18, 2014, the Xbox Wire staff announced that Whitten would be leaving Xbox to become chief product officer of Sonos. He has since been succeeded by Phil Spencer.[1]
