The Apple TV app is a media player software program developed and released by Apple to allow access to videos and Apple TV+ programming. The app is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.[1]
History
The Apple TV app was first introduced in October 2016 with the release of iOS 10.2 and replaced the Videos app for viewing videos previously synced through iTunes or purchased from the iTunes Store.[2] Support for Apple TV+ streaming services began on November 1, 2019.[3]
On November 2, 2020, it was announced via a Xbox Wire blog post that the Apple TV service would be making its way to Xbox consoles in time for the launch of the then upcoming Xbox Series X|S on November 10, 2020.[1]
