March 26: Bioshock Infinite is released for the Xbox 360.
March 27: Terraria is released on Xbox 360.
March 27: The Xbox 360 Special Edition Camouflage controller is announced and will be released in May.

April 2: Dates and times are revealed for Xbox's E3 Briefing that will be held in June.
April 3: Injustice: Gods Among Us is released on Xbox 360.
April 10: Motocross Madness is released on Xbox Live Arcade.
April 23: The Pizza Hut app for Xbox 360 is released. It allows the user to order pizza from their Xbox 360.
April 24: Microsoft announce an upcoming event that will be held on May 21 that will show the next generation of Xbox.
April 30: A new Xbox 360 S 250GB Spring bundle is released. It included Darksiders II, Batman: Arkham City, a weird headset and one month of Xbox Live Gold.

June 6: More details about the Xbox One controller are revealed, such as its new impulse triggers and other improved features.
June 10: Microsoft hold their annual press conference at E3, where they give more details on the upcoming Xbox One such as release date, price and launch titles.
- A number of games were also revealed including; Below, Crimson Dragon, D4, Forza Motorsport 5, Halo, Halo: Spartan Assault, Killer Instinct, LocoCycle, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Project Spark, Quantum Break, Ryse: Son of Rome and Sunset Overdrive.
June 10: The Xbox 360 E, a slimmer quieter Xbox 360 model is revealed, it was released the same day in North America.
June 11 - 13: The Electronic Entertainment Expo is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
June 18: The Xbox 360 remains the number one best selling console in the United States.
June 20: The Xbox 360 E is released in Europe.
June 22: New features are added to Xbox Music on Windows 8.

July 1: The Xbox 360 Special Edition Chrome Series Gold controller is announced.
July 17: The Xbox 360 hits 30 consecutive months as the United States best selling video game console.
July 18: Halo: Spartan Assault is released on Windows Phone.

August 9: Local Currency is announced to be coming to Xbox consoles, succeeding Microsoft Points.
August 15: Forza Motorsport 5 Limited Edition is announced.
August 26: Local currencies and gift cards replace Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360.
August 28: Forza Rewards is launched
August 28: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is released on Xbox 360.
August 29: Rayman Legends is released for the Xbox 360.

October 1: Grand Theft Auto Online is launched for Xbox.
October 1: NBA 2K14 is released on Xbox 360.
October 7: Spongebob Squarepants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge is released on Xbox 360.

November 5: Call of Duty: Ghosts is released for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
November 12: A competition begins allowing participants to design an Xbox One gamerpic. 100 designs will be selected and made available for all Xbox One users to choose from.
November 19: NBA Live 14 is released on Xbox One.

November 22: The Xbox One is released in North America, Europe, Australasia and South America.^[2]

November 22: Killer Instinct is released for Xbox One.
November 22: Battlefield 4 is released for Xbox One.

November 22: A competition begins giving the participants the ability to create an Xbox One controller design and win up to $1,000.
November 26: Air Conflicts: Vietnam is released on Xbox 360.
