Darkpens

The Darkpens are a large prison complex underneath Black Rook Hold. During the War of the Ancients the prison was used to hold the foul creatures of the Burning Legion. Lieutenant Desdel Stareye is the prison's commander appointed by Lord Ravencrest. The guards result to extreme torture to garner information from their prisoners. While perusing the trail of Gul'dan, Maiev Shadowsong was captured and sent to this prison.^[1]

A group of demon hunters, Sirius Ebonwing, Cassiel Nightthorn, Asha Ravensong, and Arduen Soulblade have all been captured and imprisoned here after hunting a dreadlord.^[2]
