The bola is Riven's weapon. It first appears in Season 1.
Appearance
It is a purple glowing ball, which connects via a black string to the bidet that has one prong short than the other.
Series
Season 1
Riven uses the bola to restrain the hunting troll, preventing it from attacking Stella and Bloom in the latter's yard. However, the hunting troll releases himself by using the bola to catapult Riven over to the girls.
After Riven had join the Trix, tension and estrangement can be felt between him and his former friends. During a spar with Sky (then under Brandon's alias), he pulled out his bola after Sky had knock his phantoblade out of his hand. He throws his bola hard at Sky's shield, which knocks him back. He then aims at Sky's feet but he dodges it, the bola instead, hits the ground creating a small hole. After Riven is knocked off his feet by Sky, he uses the bola to entangle Sky's leg and pull him off balance. The fighting is spotted by Codatorta who noticed that they are taking their anger out on each other.
His bola is used against Army of Darkness, while casually conversing with Sky on what he and Bloom experienced during their separation from their friends. Riven and Sky note that the Trix had gone crazy and everyone is done with them, especially Bloom.
Season 4
In "The Gifts of Destiny," Riven is alerted by Timmy of two deforestators trying to regain their weapons. He pulls out his bola and snatches the weapons away.

The Battle for Magix
Riven uses his bola to fend off the Army of Darkness, while he and Sky casually converse on what the latter and Bloom had experienced during their time away. Riven and Sky note that the Trix had outdone themselves and everyone is done with them, especially Bloom.
