The noble warpig is native to the planet Mikros, homeworld of the ferocious Draken^[1]. Long ago, the Draken domesticated the porcine creatures and used them for various purposes, such as mounts, pets, and sources of food. Draken hunters swear by their warpigs and they claim are as effective at tracking prey as an entire pack of trained dagun due to their keen sense of smell. In most Draken communities, Warpig mounts are considered to be members of the clan and consuming them is a capital crime.

All warpig varieties possess at least six eyes. These extra eyes allow them a wide range of vision, as well as providing a surplus should one or more be lost during a hunt. In addition, their thick hides resist edged weapons just as effectively as manufactured armor, and their sharp tusks can be employed as deadly weapons. Several subspecies have been defined across Mikros, including a blind breed native to the frigid, dark side of the planet which hunts by smell alone.

Trained warpigs have a lifespan of 10 to 15 years.
