Kong Pak is the former leader of a newly absorbed, Long Zii-affiliated tong and Li Yong's old friend and mentor.[1]
Biography
Joining the Long Zii
With the bulls shutting down businesses and damaging property, Kong Pak, leader of the Jiang Yao tong, has agreed to be absorbed by the Long Zii, pledging themselves to Mai Ling, who asks Kong to sit on her council alongside the elders, which he accepts. However, he later admits to Li Yong that he would've never joined them if he had a choice and that as he remembers it, Li Yong was supposed to rule the tong after Long Zii's passing.[2]
Kong Pak sits down with Mai Ling to discuss the Hop Wei and how he agrees with Li Yong that Mai Ling is being too aggressive. His advice would be to allow them to bleed out slowly on their own. Kong Pak recalls how his mother used to say: "Have patience, and the grass will be milk soon enough," though he doesn't really know what it means. Kong Pak then accompanies Li Yong to meet with Muchen, leader of the Three Brothers tong, which was a trap that Kong Pak and Li Yong manage to navigate with little to no difficulty and ultimately results in Kong Pak killing Muchen.[3]
