The KPz M48A2G is one of the main battle tanks that are available to West Germany in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History
M48A2 served with the M47 starting in the late 1950s (the M47 was replaced by the Leopard 1). When the Leopard 2 came into service they were sent to the Heimat-Schutzbrigaden ("home defence brigades") of the Territorialheer(Territorial Army). These tanks had the 90mm M41 along with upgraded engines. Many were later upgraded to M48A2GA2 standard. A 50 series Heimatschutz Brigade series has two Panzer battalions equipped M48 while 60th Series Heimatschutz brigade has one panzer battalion equipped with M48 along with a AT platoon of 7 M48 in the Heimatschutz Jaeger battalions.
