- Noble Willingham's last episode on the series; "C.D. Parker" would not be seen or mentioned again until his death, 16 episodes later. (The Avenging Angel)
- An early draft of the script for this episode had C.D. being killed off by the "Santa Claus Gang", while Gordon Cahill visits his daughter for the Holidays, Ultimately, Gordon serves as one of C.D.'s pallbearers (along with Walker, Trivette, and Gage). He then gives everybody a Christmas present by purchasing C.D.'s Bar & Grill, wherein Gordon has a life-size portrait of C.D. mounted over the bar...with a sackcloth and lit candle. All of this was planned in order to make Gordon Cahill a regular character on WTR; yet it was eliminated in rewrites, because the show's producers considered said development too somber for a "Special Holiday Episode".[1]
