VIVIZ (비비지 bibiji) is a three-member girl group under BPM Entertainment. The group consists of former GFRIEND members Eunha, SinB, and Umji. They debuted on February 9, 2022 with the mini album Beam Of Prism.
Etymology
The name 'VIVIZ' (pronounced vee-vee-zee) stands for the members' names (Eunbi, SinB, Umji). VIVIZ is an abbreviation for "VIVId dayZ". It is a combo of VIVID meaning ‘clear, intense’ & day(z).[1] It means to always be the artist who proudly express their own color to the world.
History
2021-2022: VIVIZ debut, Queendom 2
On October 6, 2021, SinB, Eunha, and Umji announced on their individual Instagram accounts that they had joined BPM Entertainment and would be debuting in a three member girl group.[2] Two days later, the girls posted photos of themselves on Instagram which revealed that their group name was VIVIZ.[3] The group debuted on February 9, 2022 with the mini album, Beam Of Prism. The group won their first music show on February 16 at Show Champion with "BOP BOP!".
On February 21, Mnet revealed that VIVIZ will be participating in their reality show, Queendom 2, which began airing on March 31.[4]
On June 23, a coming soon teaser was posted on the group's social media accounts which revealed that the group will be releasing their second mini album, Summer Vibe, on July 6, 2022.[5]
