Storylines

Tommy Moon was born on 30th December 2010, conceived by his mother Kat Slater. It was initially believed that her beloved husband Alfie Moon was the father until it had transpired that his cousin, Michael, was actually Tommy's biological father.

However, Michael neglected the boy and Alfie raised him especially after Michael's death on Halloween 2013 nearly three years later.

While Kat was married to Alfie, the pair briefly split up when he was sent to prison for six months; Kat then had one-night stand with Michael and it led to her pregnancy and Tommy's birth. Despite this Alfie chose to forgive Kat when the pair decided to give there marriage another go and Alfie vowed to raise Tommy as his own son - mainly due to Michael's negligence and villainous activities that culminated with his death on Halloween 2013 nearly three years later. As such Alfie adopted Tommy and signed his birth certificate.

In 2021, Tommy soon learned the truth about his parentage but forgave his parents. He also reconciled with his half-sister Scarlett, the daughter of Michael and his wife Janine Butcher who killed him in the end due to their custody battle. Janine was also Kat's sworn enemy and they fought after it turned out that Janine was the one who told Tommy about his secret parentage.

By 2022, Kat had begun a relationship with the square's local hardman and criminal kingpin Phil Mitchell. It was then Tommy looked up to Phil and idolized him, especially when he got bullied and Phil stepped him to defend him along with his son Ben.

In 2024, however, Kat and Phil split up after he cheated on her. The follow-up saw Tommy become a rebellious wayward delinquent up to the point where he lashes out at people. When he misbehaves at one point and Kat tells him off, he punches her in the stomach and threatens his own mother before storming out.

Alfie tries giving his son therapy but it doesn't work. Tommy becomes more unhinged, laughing as he sees Harry Mitchell being punched by Jack Branning. Harry sees that Tommy filmed the incident so he buys Tommy's phone so he can blackmail Jack in revenge.

Alfie is called back to London by Kat. Alfie tries fixing his family by having a takeaway with them which Tommy immediately spoils. What makes it worse is that this came just after an attempted reconciliation and Tommy goes as far as to attack his cousin Freddie and drives his scared younger brothers out the room. Destroying the kitchen completely, Tommy storms off.
