Tarnak, also known as the Iron Body Monarch, or the King of Monstrous Humanoids, is a major antagonist of the dark fantasy Korean manhwa and light novel series Solo Leveling.
Appearance
Although not his true appearance, the Iron Body Monarch possessed a young blond man with green glowing eyes and sports a long white coat with a glowing red collar adorned with several black lines on it. His true form is speculated to be something like a gigantic black and green glowing golem like his Spiritual Body Manifestation.
Biography
Japan Crisis Arc
Inside the house of the American hunter, Christopher Reed realizes that something is off with his home. The Iron Monarch emerges in the hallway and confronts the hunter with two of his comrades, the Beast and Insect Monarch, observing from behind. He comments that he will not be able to save anything while trying to help the humans. The hunter questions what he means. The Iron Monarch replies that he is not addressing to him, as he points his index toward the ceiling.
Christopher attempted to single-handle all three of them with his Spiritual Body Manifestation form, resulting in his death. Subsequently, his body was found by other humans.
Monarchs War Arc
By demand, all Monarch were gathered by the request of the Frost Monarch to assist him in killing the vessel of Shadow Monarch. With the Iron Monarch the first initial to deny his request, he states that would be considering to meeting their demise to face the Shadow Monarch on their own and that it is safer for them for the Dragon Monarch to reappear before taking action.
Final Battle Arc
Assisting in Antares' attack on the human world, he is confronted by the American hunter, Thomas Andre. As a result of his overconfidence proved to be his downfall. Unbeknownst to him, Thomas had prepared for their encounter and, to the Iron Body Monarch's astonishment, Bellion and Beru came to aid when they surfaced out of Thomas' shadow. One of Jinwoo's shadows, Tusk, manages to sever his contact through his telepathy when he attempts to inform Antares about his current situation. Now outnumbered by himself to face three powerful enemies all by himself, he transforms into his Spiritual Body Manifestation form, but nevertheless, he dies at their hand subsequently.
Abilities
- Spiritual Body Manifestation: His form takes the form of a gigantic monster with green-coloured fire manifesting all of his body and resembles to nothing like his previous appearance.
- Telepathy: He has displayed the ability to be able to communicate the other Monarchs through mind.
