| ~ TFC Pyro before torturing Soldier |
Beatrice, or better known as the TFC Pyro, is one of the nine playable characters in the famous Quake mod, Team Fortress, and its video game port/remaster Team Fortress Classic, and a major antagonist in Team Fortress 2, specifically taking the role of a minor antagonist in comic issue #5 Old Wounds.
Personality
She is far more cruel and heartless than TF2 pyro. She is willing to do what it takes to get the information her boss wants.
Biography
Like her other mercenary companions, she and the rest of her colleges are briefly seen in the Catch-Up Comic in the 1930s, in which they are shown as the mercenary teams that were hired by Redmond and Blutarch Mann to fight their endless war with each other. It seems that at one point during a devastating attack, she suffered disfiguring injuries to her face and lost her left eye due to this.
Old Wounds
She is first seen interrogating Soldier after he says that only Miss Pauling knows were the Administrator is, she starts up a drill and drills into his teeth. Zhanna then says that Beatrice can torture her instead but she responds with telling her that she's next. Unbeknownst to her, Zhanna had severed her hand to escape and decides to grab a grenade to put into Beatrice's suit, before adding the helmet onto Beatrice's suit until it blew Beatrice up, turning Bea to ash inside it and killing her on impact.
Trivia
- She is the only female mercenary in the Team Fortress Classic group.
- Additionally, she is the only (confirmed) female mercenary to be hired ever, including the TF2 mercenaries.
- Her gender is likely a reference to the ongoing theories as to whether the current Pyro is a woman or not.
