Biography
Past
Little is known of Otes' past before and after he started working for Goha Enterprises, but at some point in his career, he became disillusioned with the strict rules Goha began imposing on the game of Duel Monsters and sought to return the enjoyment of dueling to the people, his most notable act of defiance of the company was when he entered into a Goha dueling tournament making it all the way to the finals before he was disqualified due to being a Goha employee as the tournament rules stated no Goha employees were allowed to participate. As Otes was being escorted off stage, he handed off his Sevens Road Magician card to a young Yuga Ohdo as he and the other kids, including Roa Kassidy, watched on, selecting Yuga to be the next King of Duels.
Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS
Otes continues to test Yuga throughout the series. During the Rush Duel Tournament, Otes makes his appearance and after a duel with Yuga, is taken into custody by Goha, however he is somehow able to escape and begins attempting to destroy Rush Duels for an unspecified reason during the final duel of the tournament, however his plan ultimately fails and when confronted refuses to state his reasoning. Eventually Otes is challenged by Yuga Goha and is defeated, with Yuga Goha seemingly erasing his memories, causing the dueling system, updated with Yuga Ohdo's new program of allowing people to make new ways to duel, to neglecting, bringing the server close to ruin, it's then that Otes reveals that he was unaffected by Yuga Goha's mind wipe and faked being affected by it because he sought to destroy all of dueling so he could rebuild it from the ground up, Yuga Ohdo and his friends band together and go into space to confront Otes and his minions, and during the duel Otes is brought to the brink of defeat however, while out of range of the server, Yuga, having given his ID card to Luke Kallister, was now without one, meaning the minute they reentered the server's range, Yuga would lose due to not having an ID Card, but using his super rush robot, sent both Otes and himself into lightspeed.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush
It is revealed that while Otes’ fate is that he was transported to the Sengoku Period, his Earthdamar was born as “The Creator” and was sent millions of years in the past. Also, “The Creator” was responsible for the creation of the alien race, Velgearians, with Kuaidul Velgear being the first alien created and to lead the race to never ending conflicts, making Otes indirectly responsible anything his Earthdamar did.
For Ote's fate in the Sengoku Period, he created Rush Duel to end all wars in Japan, but at the same time, he created oppression.
However his headset was left behind in Yudia’s timeline for anyone to take identity of him. Yuamu attempted to become Otes in an attempt to make sure that her Yuga’s timeline is secure after he was returned back to his time by dueling Yudias and use “Monster Reborn” card that using it in a Rush Duel will erase your identity. But, Yuhi took over his sister’s duel and end the duel with Yudia’s defeat, and Yuhi becoming Otes.
After Yudias defeated Otes/Yuhi, Yuhi is freed from the influence and reverted back as Yudias and his friends are transported to the Sengoku Period.
