Kenji Hikiishi, better known as Magne, is a supporting antagonist in the manga/anime series, My Hero Academia. She was affiliated with the League of Villains and a member of the organization's Vanguard Action Squad. Magne possesses powers relating to various magnetic abilities.
She was voiced by Satoru Inoue in Japanese and Jeremy Inman in English.
Personality
While facing her opponents, Magne has a brutal and combative attitude showing a perceptive intuition, coupled with her skill in combat. This is shown when she correctly deduced that Izuku Midoriya was the one who defeated Muscular and thus needed to be killed, only to be stopped by Spinner. Like many of the newer League members, she was inspired by the hero Killer: Stain.
Like many of other members of the League of Villains, Magne looks down on society in its current state. she appears to have experience of being bound by society and unable to pursue her desired path because of this.
Thus, joining the League to make a difference and be free to decide her own place. It is also revealed that she had a friend who commended her for having the bravery to take a stand.
Biography
Magne first appears in the Forest Training Camp Arc alongside Moonfish and Spinner and they join the rest of the Vanguard action squad to attack the camp. Magne later fought against the Pro hero Tiger du
ring the raid and later demonstresat his powers on Izuku.
She later appears in the Hideout Raid arc where she fought against the heroes to save Bakugo. She also fought against the pro heroes but eventually lost, however she along with the others was rescued by All For One and she manages to escape capture.
In the Shie Hassaikai arc, Magne attacks Kai Chisaki using her Quirk after the latter revealed his intentions to try and rule over the League of Villains. Chisaki responds by activating his own power (Overhaul), obliterating the upper half of her body and killing her instantly.
Magne's death deeply affected the League, especially Twice who blamed himself for his ally's demise.
