The Chainsaw Nomu is a minor antagonist from the manga/anime series My Hero Academia. He is an artificial human, specifically created by Tomura Shigaraki to serve as Dabi's own pet. He is a member of the Vanguard Action Squad and took part in Katsuki Bakugo's capture.
He was voiced by Daman Mills.
Personality
Similar to Nomu and the rest of the previous Nomus, the Chainsaw Nomu is an obedient creature that takes orders from his superiors with no hesitation. This is notably shown when he attempted to kill two U.A. students, but was immediately called back and allowed them to live.
History
Forest Training Camp Arc
The Chainsaw Nomu was first seen chasing down Momo Yaoyorozu and Yosetsu Awase. He has them in a dead end and nearly kills them, before being called back by Dabi.
Before it could leave, however, Yosetsu was able to set a tracker behind his back, which would later play a role in tracking down the League of Villains.
The Chainsaw Nomu later encounters Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji, whom attempted to escape with their supposed friends. Eventually the trio were stopped once more by Kurogiri. Although he was not seen after this, the Chainsaw Nomu managed to escape the scene with the rest of the villains.
Hideout Raid Arc
When the Pro Heroes raided the league's hideout, they managed to also capture the Nomus in the warehouse. The Chainsaw Nomu was among them, in which he was held by Mt. Lady. He attempted to free himself by struggling, but ultimately failed. All For One eventually arrived to the scene, in which he took out all of the heroes in one blow. It is unknown what happened to the Chainsaw Nomu after this, but given that he was still in Mt. Lady's hand, he likely perished in the explosion.
Powers and Abilities
- Chainsaw Quirk: The Chainsaw Nomu possesses a Quirk that allows him to form a variety of tool-like weaponry out of his back, such as chainsaws, hammers and a drill.
