?
Mortal Kombat 4
By this time, Jarek is the last remaining active member of the Black Dragon, and was hunted by Special Forces agent Sonya Blade. As seen in the tie-in comic, Sonya tracked him down to Shanghai, but Jarek got the upper hand and escaped on his bike. Jarek became involved in the battle against the Army of Darkness in Edenia, and was forced to work with his enemies for the sake of his survival.
After the battle, Jarek refused to hand himself over to the Special Forces, and confronted Sonya near a cliff face. Seemingly falling off the cliff, Jarek attempted to kill Sonya, but Jax confronted him, and threw him off the cliff for real, seemingly killing him for good.
Mortal Kombat Armageddon
While he was presumed dead for many years afterwards, Jarek was revealed to have survived in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Having clung to the cliff with his weapon, Jarek was left badly injured, and grew increasingly obsessed with getting revenge on the Special Forces, and the one who sold him out. Using his "death" as cover, he secretly travelled the Realms looking for ancient texts to learn deadly new techniques, but grew increasingly frustrated at his injuries holding him back in mastering them. Enraged, Jarek became utterly homicidal, killing many innocent people, and was recruited by Quan Chi to join the Forces of Darkness, in return being taught to increase his power.
Jarek joined the Battle of Armageddon in Edenia, hoping to slaughter all of his enemies. In his non canon ending, Jarek was able to defeat Blaze, and absorbed the chi of all the combatants into himself. filled with bloodlust, Jarek proceeded to slaughter all the other warriors, often killing them in their own methods. In the canon version of events, Jarek was seen fighting Sindel, and was eventually killed along with the other combatants.

Powers And Abilities
Jarek is skilled fighter and has the ability to perform Kano's cannonball attack, but he also has a vertical version of it. He can also stomp to create a small but powerful tremor and uses a rope that allows him to lasso an opponent or anchor himself to the ground while he flies at his opponent. Jarek can also shoot a laser out of his eye to perform one of Kano's fatalities, but there is no explanation as to how he does this. He also has a star shaped blade that he uses as a throwing weapon.

Trivia
- Jarek is the one of the 2 playable members of the Black Dragon whose name does not begin with "k". The other is Tremor.
- Jarek's final confrontation with the Special Forces is depicted in three endings, Sonya's, his own, and Jax's. In Sonya's version, Jarek refuses to hand himself in, and falls off the cliff when he misjudges his lunge. In his own version, he manages to grab Sonya after seemingly falling to his death, and throws her off the cliff instead. Jax's version continues from then, with Jarek being grabbed by him and being dropped off the cliff. Armageddon references Jax throwing him off the cliff, but does not elaborate on how much of the earlier endings occurred in-universe.
- These endings are generally considered one of the most unintentionally hilarious moments in the series, due to the general absurdity of events (such as Jarek seemingly falling to the death twice in a few minutes), the amateur voice acting, and the dated animation.
- In early versions of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Jarek was going to have the Leaf Blades as his weapon.
- Jarek used the Dragon fighting style in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon that Sub-Zero had for Deadly Alliance and Deception.
- Jarek is referenced in a mirror match between two versions of Smoke in Mortal Kombat 1, where the alternate Smoke reveals Jarek orphaned him.
