And now time resumes!

Cath: Hey, Arthur! Are you really shocked to this degree? About losing your country and you people? All countries eventually fall. Even if the Demon King and Seven Deadly Sins hadn't done it, something was bound to happen to it, eventually. Hmm. A giant meteor could have struck it and wiped it off the map, or it could have sunk into the sea and vanished. The possibilities are endless!
Arthur: What are you getting at?
Cath: I'm saying the outcome is always the same.
~ Cath Palug trying to send Arthur Pendragon into despair.
I'm warning you to quit fighting what is obviously inevitable. No matter which route you take, everyone is eventually going to die, you know? That goes for humans, animals, countries, mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, starts, and even gods!
~ Cath Palug to Arthur Pendragon.

Cath Palug is a major antagonist of the manga/anime series The Seven Deadly Sins.

He is seemingly the pet of Arthur Pendragon until it is revealed he is a descendent of Chaos who obsesses over its power. He initially served as a minor character throughout the series until the King of Chaos arc where he becomes the main antagonist following the Demon King's defeat, where he would attempt to destroy the world with Arthur's power.

In Japanese, he was voiced by Aoi Yūki, who also voices Tanya von Degurechaff from Youjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil, Kurona Yasuhisa from Tokyo Ghoul, Clementine from Overlord. In English, he was voiced by Abby Trott, who also voices Machi Komacine from Hunter x Hunter, young Indra Ōtsutsuki from Naruto and Kirara from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Appearance

In his initial appearance, Cath appears to be a very small and chubby white cat, appearing as just a head with a tail. After devouring Arthur's arm he becomes much larger, and in his true form he is an enormous bobcat-like monster with eight legs and long fangs that go through his cheeks.

Personality

While seeming cuddly and innocent at first, Cath is actually an extremely sadistic and power-hungry monster who starves for the power of Chaos. His personality is described by Merlin as simply the "Destructive Will of Chaos" who wants nothing but to destroy all lifeforms.

Biography

Cath is a direct descendant of Chaos who became a cruel tyrant. After challenging Chaos' power and losing, he was banished and locked up in Purgatory. How he escaped is unknown, but he managed to locate Arthur Pendragon after having a premonition that he would take on the Power of Chaos and pretended to be his pet.
