I have to be the one to kill her, Magnus. It's a matter of honor. For a thousand years every sunrise has been greeted by a Rai, renewing his vow to protect Japan and its people. Forty-one generations before me have kept my nation safe. Then I came along and let everyone down. I stood by and watched while Mothergod slaughtered my nation. Now there's nothing left for me but revenge... and death.

For now, Magnus, my sword is at your service. After Mothergod has been dealt with, I will kill you. And, then I will kill myself.
- -- Rai
Congratulations, Rai. Only Solar has ever hurt me so badly. You might have killed me. If I'm not careful, you still might. But I'm very careful.
