Japan

Japan is an island nation located off the coast of Asia.

The future of Japan in the 41st Century – referred to as New Japan – is a recurring location in the Valiant Universe.

History

In Valiant Comics continuity the island was mechanized until it became one giant robot with a consciousness named Grandmother. The Valiant Entertainment reboot shows a future where "New Japan" is a megalopolis ruled by a mysterious entity called Father.

The Komodo Protocol can turn the entirety of New Japan into a powerful "Komodo dragon." In Valiant Comics, the protocol also launches New Japan into the air (temporarily). In Valiant Entertainment, Japan has already been lifted into the Earth's orbit thus becoming "New Japan."
