Meadows

The Meadows are calm, innocuous biomes covered in grass and gentle rolling hills. They are the very first biome the player encounters in Valheim, making them simultaneously the least difficult. Large clearings and sloping hillsides are punctuated by thickets and forests of Beech, Birch, and Oak trees; underfoot is a carpet of ferns, saplings, and the occasional cluster of berry bushes. Deer and wild Boars graze peacefully from the grass while diminutive Greylings scurry about, looking for structures and players to damage. Streams and rivers wind and carve their way through the landscape, sometimes opening up to inland seas and lakes, stout Necks bathing in the sun along their shores. On the whole, the Meadows make for some of the most pleasant vistas the tenth world has to offer.

The biome is not without its hazards, however. Among the trees and numerous structures left behind by their predecessors, the player can find various points of interest while exploring, such as Viking Graveyards and particularly deadly Draugr Villages.
