Trivia
- Hiroya returns again, only to summon the monster X-Savarga in a process similar to how they defeated Zoruim.
- According to the episode's writer, Shin Yoshida, the original concept for the story was rather simple, possibly just a brief encounter between Gamu and Fujimiya. However, Chiaki J. Konaka wanted the story to be more intense, so in order to make Fujimiya's return more unexpected, the plot was developed to have him attempt to cross a wormhole in search of a way to embrace death. Yoshida admitted that this setting didn't quite align with Fujimiya's character, which is why Inamori’s character says, "Stop being so childish."[1]
- Director Ryuichi Ichino explained that during the period when Fujimiya is absent, he is exploring the world's oceans and conducting various investigations. After struggling with his inner conflict, Fujimiya decides to "do things his own way," maintaining a somber and withdrawn persona. Ichino believes that if Fujimiya were to become more integrated with the other characters, the story of Ultraman Gaia would likely come to an end.
