AKB48 is a Japanese all-female super-idol group that formed in 2005 and are still active to this day. In the Ultra Series, seven members of the collective appeared in the franchise, those being: Sayaka Akimoto, Ayaka Umeda, Sae Miyazawa, Yuka Masuda, Sumire Sato, Kana Kobayashi and Haruka Shimada. They each played a member of Team U in Ultraman Saga. Akimoto, Umeda, Miyazawa and Masuda also performed the ending theme to the movie as DiVA, an official sub-division of the larger AKB48 collective. None of them are currently part of the group.
