- "Early days!"
- ― Winston's catchphrase
Winston is Sir Topham Hatt's red track inspection car and his private mode of transportation on the North Western Railway.
Biography
Winston was brought to Sodor by Gordon after Emily was promoted to full-time safety engine, therefore no longer serving as Sir Topham Hatt's primary chaffeur.
Personality
In stark contrast to his previous counterpart, Winston is a more confident and posh individual who often gets over his head and was originally reluctant to take advice.
Technical Details
Basis
Winston is based on a Type 4B two-seat Wickham Trolley. The Mainland Inspection Trolley shares the same basis. This type of trolley can be seen at Swindon Steam Museum, Mangapps Farm Railway and Chasewater Railway.
Livery
Winston is painted two-tone red with a black frame and wheels. He has brass hinges, a brass horn, silver headlights, and a beige boot cover.
