FRIEND is the second episode of TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION.

Synopsis

"You don't have to worry about things on your own. I'm sure you have friends who will worry with you."

Filming for the documentary leading up to the TSUKIPRO Concert begins in earnest, and the members of SOARA are excited. When the counseling corner of their regular variety program "TSUKIPRO ch." receives a particular question, Sora Ohara is forced to revisit his own troubles from his past. ^[1]

Plot

Episode 2 begins with Sora joyously informing the rest of SOARA that they will be performing at the Budokan as part of the TSUKIPRO end of year concert, all of which is caught on camera as part of the documentaries SOARA & Growth have to make as part of the lead-up to the concert.

The documentary filming continues, showing how the members of SOARA go about their average day as well as having a tour of their individual rooms in the dorm, presented by Sora, Mori & Soshi.

Next, SOARA film their regular section on the TSUKIPRO Channel variety show where the members answer questions and problems sent in by fans from around the world. Filming for today's segment goes well, but one of the questions for the next session reminds Sora of painful memories from when he first began writing songs in high school.

The others notice Sora's weird mood back at the dorms, after excusing himself from the group Sora stays up all night thinking about how the other's helped him overcome his fear of the internet judging his music, and how they all performed together as SOARA for the first time at their school's concert. The next morning, Sora finishes one of the new songs for the upcoming concert and discovers that Mori & Soshi secretly stayed up all night with him in solidarity.

The episode finishes with the group answering the question that had reminded him of his own experiences, with Soshi offering up that they should try and look for alternative explanations for their problem and Sora explaining how his friend's helped him to learn the other people's opinions aren't everything and that you shouldn't worry about it so much.
