Appearances TRON: Uprising

Nord is a security program in TRON: Uprising. He serves a minor role in the two part episode, Scars, and was originally a member of Tron and Dyson's security team.

History

Trouble in the ISO district

Nord was summoned along with the rest of his team mates by Dyson in order to maintain peace within the ISO district of Tron City. While in the elevator, Tron informed the team of the operation in which they were to perform in, Reeve, a Security program like the rest, commented on the simplicity of the job, though Nord responded by sarcastically acknowledging Reeve's lack or work. When the team reached ground, they were commanded to peacefully disperse a crowd of Basics from the ISOs, causing Nord and his two other team mates to negatively remark about it until they were commanded to get moving by Dyson. The team made their way towards the location in which discrimination towards the ISOs were occurring, via a second generation Light Cycle, and equipped themselves with armor as Tron disciplined the furious Basics. As Tron disciplined the crowd, an Identity Disc Derezzed a single Basic within the crowd of basics, provoking a riot in which Nord and the security team tried to fight back against, but failed.[1]

Repurposed

Nord, along with the rest of his team mates, were all captured and Repurposed into Clu's army as Tron helplessly watched on. The result of their repurposing had their personality wiped.[2]

Trivia

  • Although going unnamed in the episode he appears in, Nord's name was eventually confirmed in a reply to a tweet by series writer, Bill Wolkoff.[3]
  • Nord is likely named after the Nord Programming Language, a procedural programming language by Norska Data.
