GMM ACADEMY (จีเอ็มเอ็ม อะคาเดมี่; also known as GMM Audition) is a training academy and entertainment agency under GMM Grammy.
Concept
Noramon Chucheepchai, senior director of marketing at GMM Grammy, revealed that "The concept of GMM ACADEMY, is that we believe that an artist career is a career that can grow. Currently children from the new generation have a lot of talent, and if you have worked with an expert and have experience in this particular area, it will help develop and encourage them to go much further. GMM ACADEMY will polish artists in a way that suits them, in both music style and character until they're ready."[1]
Background
On July 22, 2022, the company's official SNS accounts were opened.[2] On August 10, they introduced their first 100 trainees, which were divided into team Popstar, team Idol and team Thai idol.[3]
On September 30, 2022, GMM ACADEMY opened its auditions in Khon Kaen, which would be open until October 4.[4]
On October 5, 2022, assistant professor Wootichai Lertsatakit, Dean of the Faculty of Music at Silpakorn University, signed an MOU with Noramon Chucheepchai, senior director of the Marketing Department at GMM Music, to exchange knowledge, experiences, and organize activities to develop students' potential.[5]
On October 19, 2022, the company opened auditions for country singers for the GMM Grammy sub-labels Grammy Gold and Thaidol Music.[6]
