Skins

Description

Skins are cosmetics that be unlocked from skin crates or completing maps. Skins from completing maps will usually have a Bonus rarity. There are also skins that are from completing special quests, codes or from buying gamepasses. Skins from completing special quests will usually have a Heroic rarity. Most skins that are between Common to Rare rarity are usually global skins that can be applied to all towers and usually just change their texture. Skins that rarity are Legendary and Mythic usually only apply to one tower and physically changes the model of the tower giving them a new appearance.

Crates can be opened for a certain amount of  coins and will give you a random skin depending on the crate to customize your Towers.

All of these skins can be obtained by beating certain maps on Challenge Mode on certain difficulties.

Event Map Skins

All of these skins can be obtained by beating event maps on Challenge Mode. These maps are only available during certain times of the year.

Code Skins

All of these skins are obtainable from codes, many of which are expired.

Event Skins

Skins from the main yearly events, such as the Egg Hunt, Contracts, Wishlists and Crafting.

Advent/Battlepass Skins

Skins obtained from Gamepasses.

Weekly Challenge Skins

Skins obtained from Weekly Challenges.

Mimic Skins

Mimic skins are skins you get from special mimics (special mimics can spawn in both modes)

All of these skins are only owned by special players.

Skins obtained through merchandise.

Removed Skins

The following skins have been removed from the game. They are no longer obtainable or usable and have been replaced or revamped.

Scrapped Skins

The following skins were planned for the game, but ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons.

• The Global "Kid" skin is most likely a reference to the character Ness from the 1994 RPG game Earthbound.
• Lemonade Cat's "Business" skin is the only Common skin exclusive to a tower.
• Lemonade Cat's "Niko" skin is a reference to the character Niko from the indie game Oneshot.
• Voca and Chef's "Charming (Voca/Chef)" skin is a reference to Hat Kid from A Hat In Time.
• Spectre's "Shadow Puppet" skin is a reference to another character from A Hat in Time, The Snatcher.
• Voca's "Virtual Idol" skin is a reference to her original concept art.
• Wizard's "Wiz SCC" skin is a reference to the Wiz enemy from the game Super Cube Cavern.
• Kart Kid's "Streamer" skin is a reference to Poltergeist Perception, another game that Pixel-Bit Studio has made.
• Hayes's "Purple Hatsy" skin is a reference to his original design.
• Maitake's "Gloomtake" Skin was used as a replacement for the "Niko" skin, since it was moved to a mimic skin instead.
• The old version of Jester's "The Lad" skin was a reference to the character Jevil from the game Deltarune.
• The old version of Wizard's "Lonely" was a reference to Ralsei, who is also from Deltarune.
• Discount Dog's "Spookiner" skin from the business mimic on Corporate Chaos is based off of one of the creators of said map.
• The old version of Lemonade Cat's "Pastel Cat" skin was a reference to Temmie, a popular character from Undertale.
• The old version of Scientist's "Pilot" skin was reference to 002 from Darling in the Franxx anime.
• The old version of Wizard's "Evil Wizard" skin was reference to a Megumin from KonoSuba.
• Wizard's Gun Wizard skin was changed from Bonus to Heroic after the Make A Cake Crossover update.
• Lemonade Cat's "Jeff Shop" skin is actually obtainable during events that give you extra currency (ex: Halloween's and Christmas's ) Most likely a bug and might be changed in the future.
• Lemonade Cat's "Arcade Cat" and "Arcade Bunny" are mostly likely reference to both characters Nyami and Mimi from rhythm arcade game pop'n music by their species.
• Voca and Maitake's "Blue Maid (Voca/Maitake)" are a reference to the character Rem from anime Re:Zero.
• Soda Pop's "Monkey Pop" is a reference to the monkey characters from the rhythm game Rhythm Heaven.
