The Poopanzee is a very unusual species of mammalian chimpanzee beast that appears to have a fondness for poo.
Anatomy
Poopanzees are unusual-looking primates that wear what appears to be a swirly piece of poo on their heads and on the tip of their tails, hence their name. They also wear very bright and usual clown-like clothing. They have oddly shaped crossed eyes that are constantly unfocused as well as an unnerving grin.
Behavior
Poopanzees are rather unusual monkeys with a deep love for poop, even wearing fecal matter on their heads and tails. They also appear intelligent enough to craft things like clothing for themselves. A Poopanzee mainly communicates by making "Unchi" sounds. A member of this species was shown to be good friends with an Iai-Aye and also served as a brave ally that was willing to help the Four Heavenly Kings in their training.
Powers and Abilities
Being a primate of the "Monkey Restaurant", this species is skilled in the monkey martial art of Enbu, a special style of combat only known to the primates of Area 7, and one Poopanzee's skill in this martial art is so great that it is ranked as a Rank 8-Kyu Enbu practitioner, just below the Dan Ranks. Like many of the primates in Area 7, this species is incredibly tough and can survive deadly attacks and regenerate lost tissue, and when receiving damage their strength can temporarily go up. Having a capture level of 753, the Poopanzee is a very powerful creature. It was shown to be able to fight all the Four Heavenly Kings at once, although its full skill and abilities in battle are unknown aside from the standard Enbu techniques.
History
PAIR Arc
A Poopanze was one of the many monkeys that were allies of the Iai-Aye that had been accompanying the Four Heavenly Kings and was willing to help in their training to master Enbu. The Poopanzee fought against all the Four Heavenly Kings, however the result of the battle is uncertain aside from the fact the Poopanzee was briefly bound by Sunny's hair.
After PAIR was finally acquired by the Heavenly Kings, many of their monkey allies, including the Poopanzee appeared on 100G Mountain to congratulate them. The Kings and the monkeys then descended back down the mountain on Bambina's Flying Nimbutt and headed for the Birth Cry Tree, where they were happily greeted by a gigantic gathering of now happy and free monkeys.
Trivia
- It was created by Kiyohisa Kurita of Tokyo.
- The Poopanzee's peculiar appearance and attire are a reference to the "Musical Jolly Chimps", the infamous monkey toys with cymbals that were released in the 1950s.
