The Medusape (メデューサル Medyūsaru) is a species of demonic primate native to Area 7 and it is one of the many primates that make up the continent's "Monkey Restaurant".
Anatomy
The Medusape is a large primate with both mammalian and demonic traits. It is very muscular with large hands and smaller feet and a long tail. Its most notable traits are its mysterious glowing eyes and the numerous snakes growing out of the top of its head and form up to resemble a head of hair, making it resemble a deadly gorgon.
Behavior
Like all the primates and other beasts in Area 7, the Medusape obeys the will of Bambina and follows its laws without question. It appears to have some sort of symbiotic relationship with snakes as one was seen in the company of a large snake.
Powers and Abilities
Being a primate of the "Monkey Restaurant", this species is skilled in the monkey martial art of Enbu, a special style of combat only known to the primates of Area 7. Like many of the primates in Area 7, this species is incredibly tough and can survive deadly attacks and regenerate lost tissue and when receiving damage their strength can temporarily go up. Having a capture level of 668, the Medusape is a very powerful creature. It appears to have the ability to tame or control snakes as one was seen with a snake in its company which may aid it in combat. The Medusape's glowing eyes may indicate that it possesses a power similar to its namesake, however this was never shown as Sunny's instinct made him avoid contact with its eyes. It is unknown if its "hair snakes" are capable of combat and what their capabilities are.
History
PAIR Arc
After the Heavenly Kings ventured deeper into Area 7's grassland, they were confronted by a small chimp that summoned the rest of its pack to attack the kings. After Zebra killed the chimp, countless species of primates arrived and prepared to fight the Heavenly Kings, including a Medusape. Sunny then comes face to face with the beast but quickly covers his eyes after sensing something ominous about the Medusape's own eyes. The Kings then try to fight off the monkeys but their incredibly overwhelming numbers prove to be too much for them, but suddenly all the apes stop their attack and begin to kneel down as a gigantic mountain-sized ape begins to approach them, but before the kings can face this humongous foe, they fall into a mysterious fissure that swallows them into the earth below.

- It was created by Inubuse Izuru of Osaka.
- This beast is based and named after Medusa, a legendary and fearsome Gorgon from ancient Greece that was said to have the power to turn people into stone if they looked into her eyes, and is most recognized by her snake-like hair.
- Its name is a combination of Medusa and monkey (サル saru).
